Footsteps for Families: 5K, Walk & Kids Run
Footsteps for Families is a community event at Harlem High School in Machesney Park, IL (1 Huskie Circle, 61115) featuring a timed 5K race, a non-timed 5K walk, and a 100-meter kids fun run on the school track. The 5K course includes the Willow Creek Path and has very few traffic crossings. Inline skates and pets are not permitted.
The timed 5K awards medals to the top three finishers in each age category (categories to be announced) and offers monetary prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers. Registration fees listed are $40.00 for the 5K race and $30.00 for the walk. The kids fun run is free; participants receive a finishers medal and a small prize. Children must be under 10 years old to enter the kids run, and all youth entrants receive a bib.
