Fool's Gold takes place on April 1, 2026 in DFW, TX 75043. The event, presented by Run Different, offers four participation options: a 5K, a 1 mile, a Kid's Dash, and a virtual option. Registration, awards and other details
Registered 5K and 1 mile participants receive an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. T-shirt size guarantee requires registration by March 18. The 5K is eligible for age group awards; age groups are awarded four deep for male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall awards include overall male/female, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+) medals. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. The virtual option includes shipping of shirt and medal the week of the race. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank you. A 5K course is available for review.
