Flee & Elude 5K/10K
The Flee & Elude 5K and 10K is organized by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office Youth Services Program. Proceeds and additional donations support local youth programs across Crawford County.
The event takes place in Grayling, Michigan, with the Crawford County Courthouse serving as the main event location and check-in point on October 17, 2026. Course features include maintained snowmobile trails, Grayling City Park, the AuSable River Foot Bridge, the Iron Belle Trail, and the fairways of the Grayling Country Club. The 10K follows the riverbanks and an out-and-back section on the Iron Belle Trail before joining the 5K portion on the country club fairways. The 5K begins at the courthouse parking lot, passes a snowmobile trail, and finishes back at the courthouse.
Registration opens May 19, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026. Early registration fees listed are $20 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K; day-of fees are listed separately. The event uses manual timing and posts official results within a couple of hours after the final participant finishes.
Amenities include restrooms and changing facilities inside the courthouse, finisher medals for the first 100 participants, and overall prizes for male and female winners in both races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
