Flat Branch Ultra - Columbia, Missouri
The Flat Branch Ultra is scheduled for Feb 20, 2027 in Columbia, Missouri, with two distance options.
- 50K: USATF certified out-and-back on the MKT and Katy Trail toward Rocheport.
- 25K: New for 2027, USATF certified out-and-back primarily on the MKT Trail.
Both courses are described as flat and fast rails to trails routes that start and finish at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park (800 West Stadium Blvd). The 50K follows the MKT Trail to the Katy Trail, runs along the Missouri River and passes the iconic Burr Oak about 8.5 miles into the race. The 50K course was USATF certified in 2026.
Only 125 total entries are available. Packet pickup is race day only at the start/finish location and all competitors must sign a USATF waiver at pickup. Drop bags for the 50K are transported to the Halfway Home aid station and returned after the turnaround. Competitors must reach the Halfway Home aid station by 12:00 p.m. for the 50K and must check in at turnaround locations by calling their bib number and last name. Dogs are allowed when runners with dogs start at the back; runners with dogs are not eligible for state records or overall awards.
Awards include finisher awards, top three overall male and female awards for each distance, and a $500 cash award for the overall male and female winners of the 50K. A photographer will post images at no charge. Ha Ha Racing Events does not issue refunds for cancellations or postponements outside their control.
