Flat Branch Ultra
The Flat Branch Ultra is a USATF-certified 50K race held in Columbia, Missouri. It starts and finishes at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. The course follows rails-to-trails paths along the Missouri River and beneath bluffs. Participants pass a roughly 400-year-old Bur Oak tree, which inspired the event's logo.
The route is an out-and-back on the MKT and Katy Trails. There are four aid stations along the course, including the start/finish area. A midday cutoff is enforced at the halfway point aid station. Packet pickup occurs on race day at the start location beginning at 6:30 AM.
Parking is available at an open-air lot near the start/finish line. Awards are given to finishers and the top three overall male and female competitors. Photos taken during the event will be made available at no charge. The race is sponsored by Fleet Feet Columbia and Fleet Feet Jefferson City.
