Course and logistics

The race base and post-race celebration are at Deer Park Tavern, 108 West Main Street, Newark. Day-of packet pick up and a gear check are located at Deer Park Tavern. Parking options include municipal lots in Newark and a University of Delaware parking garage across from the Deer Park Tavern (pay-first garage).

Participant amenities include a custom race bib, finisher medal (notes that it changes color in the sun), apparel for each distance (half marathon: performance gender-specific long sleeve shirt and hat; 10K: gender-specific T-shirt; shirts become unisex after March 7), food, drinks, and entertainment at the post-race celebration.

There will be three water stations on course, with two stations positioned so they can be used twice. Porta-pot locations are listed near the Deer Park Tavern, the start/finish area, and multiple points along the course including the turn around on Barksdale Road. The course has a 3.5 hour cutoff with a sweeper to maintain that pace. Awards include overall and master categories plus top-three awards in standard age groups.
