Estra Firenze Marathon
The Estra Firenze Marathon is an international running event set in the historic city of Florence. The 42nd edition is scheduled for November 29, 2026. The course covers the iconic distance of 42.195 km, leading participants through ancient bridges, medieval alleys, and landmarks such as Piazza del Duomo and the Arno river. The event is limited to 13,000 runners.
The course is measured and certified, with intermediate timing recorded at every 5 km mark. The event provides several services for participants:

Refreshment stations are positioned every 5 km, offering water, tea, and salts, with food available from the 15 km mark. A free pacemaker service is available for various target times ranging from 2h55' to 5h30'.
Participation is open to athletes affiliated with FIDAL, World Athletics, or those holding a Runcard with a valid medical certificate. Foreign athletes without membership can participate in a non-competitive category for tourist-sporting goals. The time limit to complete the full distance is 6 hours, with specific cut-off times at the half-marathon mark (3 hours) and 30 km mark (4h15).
Registered athletes receive an official race kit including technical material, which can be picked up at the Marathon Expo located at Stazione Leopolda.
