About the race
Estra Firenze Marathon is a marathon of 42.195 km held in Florence on 29 November 2026. The route runs through the city centre and along the Arno river, passing landmarks such as Piazza del Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Santa Croce and the athletics stadium. The field is limited to 13,000 runners.
Registration is managed online and requires appropriate documentation: a valid membership card or RunCard where requested, and a medical certificate or health form valid on race day. Registration closes on 20 November 2026 and entry fees increase in stages from €69 to €109 depending on the registration date.
Services on course include refreshment points every 5 km (water and salt; from 15 km also fruit and bars), medical stations with vans and ambulances near refreshment points, doctors on motorcycles, pacemakers for a range of target times, and WC locations at start, finish, cloakroom and refreshment points. Timing is by personal microchip fixed to the bib and official results are published after validation. The overall time limit is 6 hours.
Post-race services include a final refreshment area reserved for athletes, immediate presentation of the official medal at the finish, and downloadable participation diplomas.
