Event information
The Firecracker 5K Little Elm takes place on July 4, 2026 in Little Elm, Texas at 210 E Eldorado Parkway and on the Lakefront Trail. The event includes these distances:
- 5K
- 1K Fun Run
- Virtual Run
Entry fees at the time of listing are $35 for the 5K, $30 for the 1K fun run, and $35 for the virtual run. Prices increase after January 31, 2026. Virtual participants do not have packet pickup; virtual runners receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail during the week after the race.
Course, timing and rules
The 5K is a chip-timed event using disposable timing tags provided with the bib at packet pickup. The 1K fun run is not timed. Participants must wear their bib visibly on the front for timing and photo purposes. Per USATF safety rules and insurance, pets are not allowed on the 5K; strollers may be integrated safely into the event. Pets are welcome in the 1 mile fun event. The minimum age to enter the 5K is 6; there is no minimum age for the 1 mile.
Awards and extras
The 5K awards overall male and female winners, masters and grand masters, and the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from 14 & under up to 80+. A canine costume contest is held; winners are announced before the race. Race management may change courses for safety or weather reasons.
