Firecracker 5K Little Elm
The event is a community running event held in Little Elm, Texas at Lakefront Trail and 290 E Eldorado Pkwy. It includes an in-person chip timed 5K, a 1K fun run, and a virtual run option.
Distances
- 5K chip timed; minimum age 6; disposable timing tags issued.
- 1K fun run untimed; no minimum age; pets allowed.
- Virtual run finishers receive t-shirt and medal by mail; no packet pickup.
Registration opens 2025-12-19 and closes 2026-02-01. Posted registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K, $30.00 for the 1K fun run, and $35.00 for the virtual run.
Event details note that pets are not allowed on the 5K course and strollers may be integrated safely into the event. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged for participant safety. Race management may change the course for safety or weather reasons.
Awards for the 5K include top overall male and female, masters and grand masters, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus. A canine costume contest will be held for participating dogs in the fun run, with first through third place recognitions.
