Firecracker 5K Little Elm
The event takes place on July 4, 2026 at the Lakefront Trail in Little Elm, Texas. The program includes a chip timed 5K, a 1K fun run, and a virtual race option. Packet pickup is provided before the event at Tower Tap House in Little Elm.

- 1K Fun Run untimed family friendly option
- Virtual Run complete remotely, shirt and medal mailed afterward
Timing and entry details note that the 5K uses disposable timing tags that participants receive with their bib; wearing the timing chip visibly on the front is required for results. The 1K fun run is not timed. Virtual participants receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail and do not have packet pickup.
Event guidelines emphasize participant safety. The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. Per USATF insurance rules no pets are allowed on the 5K; strollers may be integrated safely into the event. Pets are allowed in the 1 mile fun event. Race management may alter the course for safety, weather, or production reasons.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female finishers, masters and grand masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in listed age groups. The 1K fun run has no awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
