Firecracker 5K Little Elm
The event takes place on July 4, 2026, at the Lakefront Trail area in Little Elm, Texas, with packet pickup available in advance at Playtri Dallas and Tower Tap House. The race program includes three options:
- 5K - chip timed with disposable timing tags required, minimum age 6.
- 1K Fun Run - untimed, no minimum age, pets welcome.
- Virtual Run - no packet pickup, t-shirt and finisher medal mailed after the race week.
The post-race gathering is hosted by Tower Tap House and includes a brunch pass that lists an all American hot dog and beer or mimosa for participants age 21 and over. A canine costume contest is part of the schedule and winners are announced before the race. Pets are not allowed on the 5K course, but strollers may be integrated safely into the event.
Timing procedures require bibs and disposable timing tags; bibs must be worn visibly on the front for timing purposes. The 1K fun run is not timed and does not have awards. The 5K has awards for top overall male and female, masters and grand masters, and the top three male and female finishers in the listed age groups.
