Firecracker 5K Little Elm
The Firecracker 5K Little Elm event takes place on July 4, 2026, at the Lakefront Trail in Little Elm, Texas. It features a timed 5K race and a 1K fun run. A virtual run option is also available.
Participants in the 5K receive a timing chip. The 1K fun run is not timed. The event includes a canine costume contest with prizes for the best-dressed dogs. A post-race brunch with hot dogs and beverages is offered.
All participants get a finisher medal and a t-shirt. Virtual participants receive their shirt and medal by mail after the event. Strollers are allowed in the 5K, but pets are not permitted on that course. Pets are welcome in the 1K fun run. The minimum age for the 5K is 6 years old; there is no minimum age for the 1K.
The schedule includes late packet pickup at 6:30 AM, the 1K fun run at 7:45 AM, the canine contest at 8:00 AM, and the 5K start at 8:05 AM. Awards are presented at 9:05 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
