About the race
Fire Fest Ultra is a weekend trail festival in Logandale, Nevada, hosted at the Valley of Fire State Park in the Mojave Desert. The event features a looped course of approximately 17 miles that runs on backcountry trails and passes sandstone formations and petroglyphs.
Multiple timed and untimed race options take place across the weekend, including multi-loop ultra formats and shorter out-and-back distances. Aid stations are staffed and stocked with water, hammer/heed, gels, salty snacks, fruit, hot food for ultrarunners, and first aid at every station. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own bottle.
Camping is available along the course road and near the staging area; canyon camping may require a 4-wheel drive or high clearance vehicle. Parking at Valley of Fire State Park is subject to a daily fee charged by the park. Packet pickup takes place at the staging area shortly before each race. Spectators, crew, and pacers are permitted; crews can use the staging area or a hub aid about a 1.7 mile drive from the main area. The course will be heavily marked with clear signage, and route options are based on the 17.1 mile loop.
