Event overview

Finch Hatton - Flowing Trails is Event #4 of a five-part Trail Run Series held at the Finch Hatton MTB Trails in Finch Hatton, Pioneer Valley. The race is planned for Sunday 19 July 2026. The organiser has one annual permit to run on these mountain bike trails, so running on the specific trails is only allowed on this event day.

All competitors pass the start/finish area every 6 km and exit the trail at the trail head between laps. The course uses a mix of fire roads, mountain bike trails and single track. Distances are run as sequential loops: Loop 1 (short), Loop 2 (mid), and Loop 3 (long). Course markings include arrows and coloured routes for each distance (red, blue, green).

Logistics and safety

Registration fees start from $25 and vary by course length; fees change for early bird and late periods. Mandatory gear includes a compression bandage, a fully charged phone, a whistle, race bib, and sufficient water and nutrition. One water station is available at the start/finish and is passed every 6 km. Toilets and showers are available at the start/finish area. The course is marshalled and has a safety vehicle and first aid on hand.

Rules, awards and series

Rules include registered entry only, staying on the marked course, and wearing the race bib for timing. Top three male and female finishers in each distance receive prizes; prize money is listed by distance. Points are awarded across the five-event series by age group.
