About the race
The Fiesta Walk/Run is a one-day fundraiser in Reedley, California organized by the City of Reedley Community Services Department and the Reedley Parkway Committee. The event includes a competitive six-mile run, a six-mile fun walk, a two-mile fun run/walk, and a series of short children’s races. Only the six-mile run is a timed race and receives a race bib.
Distances and event types include:
- 6 miles - competitive run, timed, bib issued
- 6 miles - fun walk
- 2 miles - fun run/walk
- Kids races from 0.12 miles to 0.5 miles
Funds raised will support Parkway amenities and improvements such as picnic tables, signage, artwork, kiosk upgrades, and related items, and will help purchase equipment and supplies for volunteers who maintain the Parkway. The kids races are run in partnership with Kings Canyon Unified School District to involve local students.
Packet pickup is available the day before at the Reedley Community Center (100 N. East Ave, Reedley, CA 93654) and on the event morning at 10th and G Street. Participants who register by September 17 will receive a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
