About the race
The Ferrara Marathon is scheduled for 28 February 2027 in the city of Ferrara. The event proposes three official distances that run through the historic and UNESCO recognised parts of the city, including long stretches of the Renaissance centre and the nine kilometres of city walls.

- 42K competitive (marathon) through the historic centre
- 21K competitive (half marathon) in the city
- 10K Ferrara City Run, a shorter urban route
The published logistics include a start on Corso Martiri della Liberà (FE). Registration entitlements list a personalised bib for entries received by 20 February, a participant T shirt, a finisher medal and race bag, insurance coverage, and access to some museums for eligible registrations. Timing and disposable chip are provided for the 42K and 21K, together with official course certification, pacing support, bag drop, and a participation diploma for those distances.
On-course services include refreshment stations aligned with federation protocol, a final refreshment, medical assistance, and chemical toilets. The event also promotes free training sessions and community activities, and highlights cultural points along the route such as Castello Estense, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Palazzo Schifanoia and the Addizione Erculea.
