Feilding Festival of Running
The Feilding Festival of Running is a multi-distance running and walking event held at Timona Park, Simon St, Feilding, New Zealand. The festival includes several course formats and a race headquarters at the football clubrooms on Simon St with available toilets and showers.
Multiple event distances are offered:
- Marathon (out-and-back course)
- Half Marathon (out-and-back course)
- 10 km (out-and-back course)
- 5 km (off-road, grass laps)
- 2.5 km (off-road, grass laps)
The marathon, half marathon and 10 km use an out-and-back road route; marathon participants complete the out-and-back route twice. The 2.5 km and 5 km events are off-road on grass around Timona Park, run as one or two laps and described as suitable for children and buggies. Water stations are placed at about 5 km intervals on the road course; participants are advised to carry their own supply as well.
There is a published cut-off policy for the event; marshals and first aid support are not guaranteed beyond the official cut-off. Prize giving includes multiple merit prizes and a range of trophies for marathon results, age-adjusted times and club cumulative times.
