Event Information
The Associated Churches Father's Day 5K is a community event held in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is described as a 10th annual event held in conjunction with the Fort Wayne Running Club. The main activity is a 5K distance, but participants can choose to walk, run, or ruck. A free kid's fun run is also offered before the main event.
Course & Participation
The course takes place around Lakeside Park, which features a rose garden and shaded areas. The event welcomes participants of all ages and encourages family participation. It is designated as a Fort Wayne Running Club Points Race for 2026.
Participants in the rucking category are asked to carry a backpack with 10 lbs of baby item donations, such as diapers or wipes, to support the A Baby's Closet program.
Awards & Registration
Awards are presented to the top male and female runners in each age group category. Ruckers are entered into a new category for a separate award. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, with registration by a specific date required to guarantee shirt size and availability.
Team categories are available for church and business groups, with pricing and registration deadlines specified. Individual pricing offers free registration for children 9 and under, with fees for older age groups. Fort Wayne Running Club members receive a discount on registration.
