Fast & Furriest 5K - Tempe
The Wiggles & Wags Fast & Furriest 5K is a dog-friendly race and pet festival on October 10, 2026, at 101 West Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ. The event combines a professionally timed 5K, a family-friendly 1-mile fun run, a fenced Dog Dash championship with breed-specific heats, and a pet-focused vendor area with adoption partners and games. Children under age 10 attend free.
Participants receive a custom event finisher's medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt. The 5K is chip timed with real-time results and event photos available. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both 5K with dog and 5K without dog categories. Dog Dash heats use a 40 foot fenced track and include breed-specific trophies for categories such as Frenchies, Dachshunds, Corgis, Poodles, plus an Open fastest-dog category.
The pet festival features a vendors expo, dog adoptions with rescues, raffles, games, and a photo booth. Packet pick-up is available the day before at Wiggles and Wags Pet Resort. The event is leashed pet friendly, welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons, and prohibits roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices on the courses. The event proceeds in rain or shine and does not offer weather refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
