Fast & Furriest 5K - Tempe
Fast & Furriest 5K is a dog friendly community event held in Tempe, Arizona on October 10, 2026, at 101 West Baseline Road. The event combines a professionally timed 5K, a family friendly 1-mile fun run, a dog dash championship, and a pet festival.

The dog dash championship uses a 40 foot fenced track with breed specific heats and trophies for each listed breed and an open fastest dog category. Categories include Frenchies, Dachshunds, Corgis, Poodles, and an open Fastest Dog in Tempe division. The pet festival features a vendors expo, dog adoptions with rescue partners, raffles, games, and a photo booth. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5K with dog and the 5K without dog categories.
All participants receive a custom event finisher medal and a custom dri fit tech shirt. Packet pick up is available on October 9 at Wiggles and Wags Pet Resort and additional pickup is available on race day. The course is subject to change for safety. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome. Roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed. No bag check is provided and there are no refunds for weather related cancellations.
