Fast & Furriest 5K - Tempe
Fast & Furriest 5K is a dog-friendly running event and pet festival held in Tempe, Arizona on October 10, 2026. The event includes a professionally timed 5K and a family-friendly 1-mile fun run. Participants may run with or without their dogs.
Race features include a dog dash championship on a 40 ft fenced track with breed-specific heats and trophies for each breed and an open fastest-dog category. A pet festival follows the races, with a vendors expo, dog adoptions with rescue partners, raffles, games, and a photo booth.
Event services for participants include a custom finisher's medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5K with dog and 5K without dog categories. The event uses chip timing with real time results and photos provided by StartLine Racing. A virtual run option is available for participants within the United States; virtual entrants receive the event medal and t-shirt and packets will be mailed no later than October 12.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Wiggles and Wags Pet Resort and on race day at the event location. Children under age 10 are free; the discount is reflected during registration.
