Event overview
The Farnborough Winter Half Marathon is organised by 209 Events and takes place on 8 February 2026 in Farnborough, England. The race starts and finishes under the historic Air Ship Hangar adjacent to Farnborough Airport. The event is UKA licensed, open to solo participants and is limited to 3,000 entries. Entry opening and pricing windows are published; charity places are available via Oakleaf Enterprise and require event fundraising.
Course and facilities
The route is a closed-road, largely flat, traffic-free rural course. A section used in 2025 was a narrower out-and-back along Laffans Lane replacing a previous Queens Avenue stretch. On-course provisions include three water stations, full medical backup, secure baggage storage, on-site urinals and portable toilets. All finishers receive a medal, a memento and a goodie bag, and digital race photos are provided free. There is no parking at the start/finish; town centre parking is a 10-15 minute walk away.

Minimum age for the half marathon is 17 years. There is no minimum age for the kids run, but children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Prize giving is held for the first three male and female overall, with masters prizes for age groups 40, 50, 60 and 70+. Refunds are not offered after entry; transfers or deferrals are possible with a request at least 48 hours before the event. If the event is cancelled for force majeure, entrants are eligible for refunds. Personal details are shared with the chip-timing company and deleted one week after the event.
