Farnborough Winter Half Marathon
The Farnborough Winter Half Marathon will be held on Sunday 7 February 2027 and is scheduled as an early February event in future years. The route starts and finishes under the Aircraft Hangar Arch in Farnborough Business Park and follows closed roads on a largely flat, rural course that broadly circles the airport.
Organisers modified the course to remove an out and back section on Laffans Lane and Shoe Lane because of building work. The additional distance is added in the early sections around the Farnborough Exhibition Centre, with the route passing along the inner lane of the A325 and onto Aerospace Boulevard before returning to the Exhibition Centre. The revised course requires formal measurement and certification before an England Athletics licence can be obtained.
The event has a limit of 3000 entries and entries have previously reached capacity. Facilities and services include medals for all finishers, a race memento and goodie bag, three water stations en route, free digital race photos, full medical backup, secure baggage storage, and on site urinals and portable toilets. A prizegiving will recognise the first three male and female finishers and masters category winners; prizes include commemorative wooden trophies and product vouchers.
Other details: the half marathon minimum age is 17 years. A free 800 m kids run is offered with 100 spaces; children under five must be accompanied by an adult. There is no parking at the start area; town centre parking is a 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Transfers and deferrals are permitted under the event policy; refunds are not provided except if the event is cancelled for specified reasons.
