Event overview
The Farmville 5k & Fun Run takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Farmville Town Commons, 3672 North Main Street, Farmville, NC 27828. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- Ruck 5K
- Fun Run (follows the first 1.2 miles of the 5K course)
The 5K course starts and finishes at the Town Common and passes Farmville’s athletic field, golf course, library, arboretum, and both new and historic neighborhoods. The 5K is chip timed using disposable chips attached to race bibs; the Fun Run is not chip timed. All 5K finishers receive a finisher medal. Event t-shirts in preferred sizes are guaranteed to participants registered by April 23.
Logistics and registration
Packet pickup is available early on Friday, May 15 at the Farmville Community Center and on race day at the Town Common. Registration fees are listed as follows: 5K and Ruck 5K - $30 until April 3, $35 until May 15, $40 on race day; Fun Run - $20. Registration fees are non-refundable. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female overall and the top three male and female in each age group (13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and up). The award ceremony is held in the gazebo on the Town Common after the final participant finishes. The event will take place rain or shine.
