Farm Fresh 5K - Waynesville
The Farm Fresh 5K is a road race held on April 18, 2026, at the Haywood Christian Ministries headquarters in Bethel, located at 5095 Old River Road, Waynesville, NC. This is the fourth running of the event and it returns road racing to this area of Haywood County.
Proceeds support Haywood Christian Ministries and their work to address hunger and poverty in Haywood and surrounding counties through food access, small farm support, economic stability programming and related services.
The event distance is a 5K with the start and finish at the Haywood Christian Ministries headquarters. The course will have one water station about halfway. Volunteers and signs will mark each turn, and police will be stationed at key intersections. Participants are asked to stay to the right side of the road and run alone whenever possible. Chip timing will be used; timing chips are attached to the back of the race bib and bibs should be worn on the front of clothing.
Packet pickup and late registration take place at the Haywood Christian Ministries headquarters in Bethel. On-site registration is accepted up to 15 minutes before the start of the race. All runners will receive a custom race shirt and an additional item reflecting the farm fresh theme, though shirts ordered after April 8 may not be available in requested sizes. Post race water and light snacks will be provided near the finish. Awards for top three male and female finishers will be given in standard age groups.
