About the race
The Farm Challenge MTB & Trail Run takes place at Hazeldean Valley Trails, starting from the Cowhouse on Hazeldean farm in Pretoria, Gauteng. The event offers trail running, mountain biking and horse ride categories across a range of distances and formats.
Distances and entry fees include:
- 5 km Trail Run R120
- 15 km Trail Run R200
- 30 km Trail Run R220
- 15 km MTB R200
- 30 km MTB R250
- 60 km MTB R300 (two laps of a 30 km loop)
- 15 km Horse R200
- 30 km Horse R250
Race services and facilities listed by the organiser include well marked routes, water and nutrition points (two waterpoints on 15 km, three on 30 km with two water krips and a dam), medals for all finishers, prizes for the first three male and female finishers, and prizegiving. Number collection on the day carries a R30 surcharge and accepts cash and credit card.
The venue provides ample parking, ablution facilities, on-site Hazeldean Brewery Co., and instant electronic results delivered to phones, website and finish boards via BoutTime.
