The Event

The Family Fun Run in Alpena is a community event on Saturday, May 9, 2026. It takes place at Bay View Park in Alpena, Michigan. All proceeds from the event benefit Alpena's Baby Pantry and the Options Pregnancy Center, supporting local families and babies.

Activities

The event features three official activities:

A 5K running race.
A 3K walk.
A cornhole and spectator activity.

The running and walking courses start at Bay View Park and follow a route along the Thunder Bay River. They finish at a scenic pier past the yacht club on Lake Huron. Water and snacks are provided. The event happens regardless of weather.

Awards and Registration

For the 5K, custom medals are awarded to the first 20 finishers. Trophies are given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Registration for each activity is $25.
