Fairfield Flag Flyin' 5K Fun Run
The event is a 3.1 Miles out and back run on paved country roads in Fairfield, Washington. The course begins at the corner of E. Main and S. Railroad, proceeds south on S. Railroad, turns left onto Gov Moore Street, then right onto Truax Road. The turn around is about 1.5 miles in at the bottom of a hill. The return follows Truax Road back to S. McNeil Avenue, where runners veer right to Main Street, turn left and run downhill to the finish.
Registration opens on February 2 and closes on May 24. The listed fee is $30 with a shirt included for registrations made by May 24; 2XL and 3XL shirts cost an additional $3. After May 24 the registration option without a shirt is $15. Day of race registration without a shirt is $20.
Awards are presented at Thiel Park Gazebo. Awards include overall male and female winners and age group awards for first through third place, male and female, in the following age groups: 7 and under, 8 to 12, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 80, and 80 plus.
