Fairfax USA Days Bridge The Community 5K - Race information
The event uses a new course and a new starting location for 2026 at the Fairfax Regional Sports Complex, 625 Linn St, Fairfax, IA. The 5K course is described as nearly flat and combines solid surface and gravel roads. This is a professionally timed event with race statistics uploaded by the end of the day. Men's and women's prizes will be awarded to top finishers across various age categories. The route will be marked with directional signs and volunteers will be positioned at key intersections. A manned water station will be located at the halfway point. Registration and check-in take place under the pavilion next to the concession stand; parking is available in the lot off Linn Street next to the ball diamond and the east lot on Fairfax Road will be closed during the race.

Course description
The route starts in the east lot of the sports complex and proceeds along Fairfax Road, Southview, Church Street, Reynolds Street and Railroad before heading south on Park to Linn Street. Runners then follow the trail on the east side of the ball diamond, pass the Vets Memorial flags, circle the trail, and finish by following markers through the south end of the east parking lot.
