Exira Fun Run 10K

Exira Fun Run, 5K and 10K : Exira City Park, Exira, IA
This community running event features three distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- Fun Run (a 1.41 mile route through the city)
The 5K is a loop on paved streets with varying elevations. The 10K uses gravel roads heading north out of town, then returns west and south on the T-bone bike trail before reentering Exira and finishing at Exira City Park. The Fun Run starts and ends on the south side of City Park.
Registration fees differ by distance and by date. Examples listed include early and late pricing for each distance, and there is no race day registration. Participants may switch races on the day of the event if done by 7:30 AM on July 3rd. A shirt option is available during registration; the event shirt is a Gildan 50/50 Dri-Blend.
Packet pick-up is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the old Fire Station on the north side of Exira City Park. The Exira Masons will host a pancake breakfast the morning of the event at the old Fire Hall with proceeds for the Exira Museum. Canned food items will be collected for Caring and Sharing of Audubon County. Previous event apparel and items will be available for purchase the morning of the event.
Awards include trophies for overall male and female in each race, medals for the top three in each division, and participation ribbons for certain Fun Run divisions. All proceeds go to Exira Rec Center renovation and other community projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
