EVIT 22 Too Many 5K - November 2026
The event is the 10th annual EVIT 22 Too Many 5K held at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, Arizona. It is a single-distance community run/walk with the start and finish at the EVIT campus and a course mapped for a 5K distance.
One hundred percent of the event proceeds are donated to 22 Too Many, an organization that works to increase public knowledge and awareness of post traumatic stress, honor veterans lost to PTS related causes, and provide support to their families. The event notes a community scholarship tied to participation: a half-tuition scholarship at the University of Advancing Technology awarded to eligible descendants of fallen U.S. military veterans, with academic and conduct requirements and progress monitoring by the university.
Participant services include a custom event shirt and a finisher medal for all entrants, chip timing with real time results and event photos provided by StartLine Racing, and age group awards for the top three in standard age brackets (17 & under; 18–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70 & over). A pre- and post-race brunch is provided with items such as bagels, fruit, water, and sports drink. The event is pet friendly for leashed animals and allows wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons provided they start at the back; bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted on the course.
Packet pick-up is available the day before and on race day at the EVIT location. Registered entry pricing is listed and a race day registration option is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
