Evesham Biathlon
The Evesham Biathlon is a two-part competition combining a run at Evesham Velo Park (WR11 2LZ) and a swim at Evesham Leisure Centre (WR11 4SU). The event is organised by Evesham Swimming Club and uses age- and sex-based classes to place competitors.
Each class specifies a run distance, a swim distance, a target time worth 1000 points, and a points adjustment for faster or slower performances. Run scores change by set points per second and swim scores change by set points per 0.5 second, with run times rounded to the nearest second and swim times rounded to the nearest 0.5 second. Some classes include an age handicap based on a standard age of 40.
Typical distance pairs include:
- 2000 m run and 200 m swim
- 1000 m run and 100 m swim
Entry options are Individual and Duo. An Individual competitor completes both run and swim within their class. A Duo entry splits the run and swim between two people; each competitor scores based on their own class and the team score is the combination of those points.
