About the race
Erin's Isle GAA hosts a community 5 kilometre event in Finglas that combines a road-and-park route with club-based activities. The course leaves the club grounds, passes through Finglas South and loops through Tolka Valley Park before returning to the club, offering a mix of urban and park running over 5 km.
Organisers aim for around 500 participants and present the day as a community experience rather than a solely competitive race. Music and entertainment will be provided in the club grounds, and all finishers receive a commemorative medal. Parking will be available nearby, with additional guidance to be provided closer to the event; attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle, or use public transport where possible.
The event is described as welcoming and suitable for participants with different experience levels, including first-time 5 km runners and experienced club runners. The focus is on participation, enjoyment, and community spirit centred on Erin's Isle GAA in Finglas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
