Epping Adventure Hike - 16km
This guided hike is an adventure level walk of approximately 16km on a circular route around High Beech and the surrounding Epping Forest. The route covers a mix of woodland trails, open countryside and rolling terrain and is led by the Essex Adventures team from the meeting point at Epping Station, Station Approach, Epping CM16 4HW, UK.
The itinerary is planned for a full morning outdoors and the walk typically takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on group pace and breaks. The event is described as moderate and intended for regular walkers; it is not recommended for complete beginners.
Participants receive a guided hike with full on-route support and a kit list provided upon booking, and they gain access to the event community group. Practical items suggested for the route include a day backpack, suitable walking boots for off-road and potentially muddy sections, 1.5 to 2 litres of water, and snacks or a packed lunch. Parking is available at Epping Station for £9 per day or the location is accessible via the Central line.
Spaces are limited to keep the group size friendly and personal, and the organisers provide logistical support throughout the hike. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
