Empowering Future Leaders through Scholarships 5k Run/Walk
The event is a 5K run and walk of 5000 meters scheduled for August 29, 2026 at North Central Park, 10202 International Blvd., Laredo, TX 78041. The format includes both running and walking entries listed as individual age group or open categories.
Registration fees vary by date: preregistration from March through May is $20, registrations from June through August 28 are $25, and same-day registration is $30. A shirt and specific shirt size are guaranteed only for participants who register by August 16, 2026. Packet pickup location and time will be announced.
Awards are given by age category and overall placement. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category, and trophies are awarded to the overall male and overall female winners. Age categories for both male and female participants include 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
