Event Overview
The Empire State Half Marathon and 5k take place at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, New York. The event features multiple distance options held on a USATF-certified loop around Rockland Lake. Participants receive a technical race shirt and a finisher medal upon completion.

Course Details
The course is located just north of the New Jersey and New York border. It consists of a flat road loop with a total elevation gain of 135 feet over the 13.1-mile distance. The elevation varies by 15 feet between the highest and lowest points. Three aid stations are positioned along the course, providing participants with water and electrolyte drinks.
Competition and Awards
The event includes an Elite Athlete Program which offers complimentary entry and specialized support for qualified runners based on their running history. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the open and masters categories. Additionally, team prizes are available for the top male and female teams. Medals are provided for the top three finishers in five-year age groups, ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. Half marathon age group winners also receive ice cream.
Logistics
Bib pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday preceding the event at a sporting goods store in Paramus, or at the race site on Sunday morning.
