Folk Fest 5K Run/Walk
The Folk Fest 5K is a community run held in Manistique, Michigan on July 10, 2027. The event features a scenic 5K route along the Lake Michigan boardwalk that reduces highway exposure and finishes at the Folk Fest area in downtown Manistique. Start and finish locations are to be determined.
The event is organized by Another Level Athletic Club in partnership with Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce. One hundred percent of event proceeds support local youth running programs.
Every registered participant receives a custom 2027 Folk Fest 5K T-shirt. Awards include trophies for overall male and female winners and grand master (60+) male and female winners. Custom medals are planned for first and second place male and female finishers in all age divisions, and for all finishers aged 10 and under. An awards presentation will take place on the Folk Fest main stage.
Registration information lists an opening date of October 21, 2026 and a closing date of July 10, 2027; the registration fee is $50. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before at Manistique High School and on race morning at the start line. A mail-in registration form is available.
