Ely Fall Fest 5K and 1 Mile Run
This community running event is scheduled for September 20, 2026, at Ely City Park on Hillcrest Street in Ely, Iowa. The event offers two distances and on-site race operations including packet pick-up, check-in, and the start and finish at City Park.
The running options include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K will be chip timed. Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and to male and female finishers in age brackets; the age bracket breakdown will be announced in May. An awards ceremony will take place at City Park following the timed event.
Pre-registered participants are eligible to receive a Fall Fest t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed only for those who register by August 28. Registration opens with tiered windows shown for March 1 to July 30 and July 30 to September 19, with processing fees applied.
A post-race breakfast of a cinnamon roll and chocolate milk will be provided free to race participants at City Park. Vehicle parking will not be allowed in the south parking lot at Ely City Park; participants are asked to use Main Street, Traer Street, or the new north parking lot at the end of Northgate Drive off State Street.
