Ely Fall Fest 5K and 1 Mile Run
Ely Fall Fest takes place at Ely City Park in Ely, Iowa on September 20, 2026. The event offers community running distances and on-site race logistics at the park.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Day-of packet pick-up and check-in are located at Ely City Park, and both the starting and finishing lines are at the park. The 5K will be chip timed. Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and to male and female finishers in age brackets; the breakdown of age brackets will be announced in May.
A post-race breakfast featuring a free cinnamon roll and chocolate milk is available for race participants only. Pre-registered participants are eligible to receive a Fall Fest t-shirt; shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by August 28. Registration fees vary by entry and by registration date.
Vehicle parking is not allowed in the south parking lot at Ely City Park. Participants are encouraged to use on-street parking on Main Street or Traer Street, or the north parking lot at the park located at the end of Northgate Drive off State Street.
