Elphinstone Ascent

The Elphinstone Ascent is a vertical kilometre event presented by The Coaster team and drawing from European mountain culture. The route runs up Mount Elphinstone, a summit overlooking Gibsons. The peak sits at 1260 m above sea level and provides views of the North Shore mountains, Tetrahedron Provincial Park and Howe Sound.

The event is a timed VK. Participants may compete for King or Queen of the Mountain or take part recreationally. The field is limited to 60 runners. Entries open on 30 March. A GPX file of the course is provided and a Strava club is connected to the event. Organizers specify a meeting point for participants.
