Elephant Rock Trail Run
The Elephant Rock Trail Run is a multi-distance trail event held in Mueller Park near Bountiful, Utah. The event offers four race distances:
- 50K point-to-point on singletrack and fire roads.
- 26.8 Miler long distance course.
- 13.8 Miler long half-marathon loop.
- 7 Miler out-and-back from the bridge to Elephant Rock.
The 50K course follows Holbrook Canyon, The Great Western, Sessions Pass, Mill Creek, Kenney Creek, and Mueller Park. Under certain trail or weather conditions, an alternate 50K course may be used that removes the Mill Creek to Kenney Creek connector and replaces it with an out-and-back section of about 15.5 miles plus the Mueller Park 16.3-mile loop. The 50K route includes sections with significant elevation gain and limited aid stations early in the course; participants should plan accordingly. Trail surfaces are primarily dirt trails (about 80%), dirt roads (about 19%), with a small paved section at the start and finish.
The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Finishers of all distances receive a handcrafted medal; top male and top female in each distance receive special awards. Race swag and medals are limited for race day and additional items may be mailed to participants after the event. Course maps and GPX files are available upon request.
