Event Information
The Elephant Rock Trail Run takes place in Mueller Park in Bountiful, Utah. The event is in its ninth year. There are four race distances: 50K, 26.8 Miler, 13.8 Miler, and 7 Miler.
Course Details
The 50K course is a point-to-point route connecting trails including Holbrook Canyon, The Great Western, Sessions Pass, Mill Creek, Kenney Creek, and Mueller Park. It involves significant elevation gain, with approximately 8,600 feet of climb. An alternate 50K course may be used depending on trail conditions and weather. The other distances are run on trails within Mueller Park, with the 7-miler being an out-and-back course to the "Rock." Trails consist primarily of dirt.
A strict cutoff time is enforced. For the 50K distance, the cutoff is 13 hours after the start. For the 26.8 Miler, 13.8 Miler, and 7 Miler, the cutoff is 8 hours after the start.
Registration and Policies
Registration closes on a specified date before the event. The event does not offer refunds, transfers, or deferments. A one-year deferment is only allowed with a documented medical reason submitted one month before race day.
Awards
All finishers receive a handcrafted medal. Top female and male finishers in each distance receive a special award. There are no age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
