ECU Oral Cancer 5k
The ECU Oral Cancer 5k is an annual event organized by the Student National Dental Association of East Carolina University. The race takes place in Greenville, North Carolina, and serves as a fundraising initiative to assist cancer patients. Proceeds from the event are directed to Beau’s Buddies Cancer Patient Care Fund, which specifically helps cover dental expenses associated with cancer treatment.

The event focuses on raising public awareness regarding oral cancer and the necessity of early detection. The course accommodates both runners and walkers. Participants who register by a specified date in early April are eligible to receive an event t-shirt.
Monetary prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. The first-place finishers in both categories receive 50 dollars, while second-place finishers receive 25 dollars and third-place finishers receive 10 dollars.
