ECT 50 Ultra Marathon, Pouch Cove NL
The event is a 50 km coastal trail race over technically demanding terrain held in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador on October 24, 2026. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the East Coast Trail Association. Registration closes on Wednesday July 1 at 11:59 PM NT.
Race check in takes place in Quidi Vidi. Buses will provide drop off at the starting area and a start line drop off is available for items to be collected later at the finish. Runners may hand in a clearly labeled drop bag at check in for collection at the Middle Cove Beach aid station. Items discarded at any aid station can be recovered at the finish.
Approximate cut off times are provided at aid stations: Flatrock around 16.5 km, Middle Cove Beach around 31 km, and the Logy Bay Marine Lab around 43 km, with a final cut off at Quidi Vidi. There are three aid stations that will provide water and electrolytes; additional food items may be supplied by volunteers, so participants should carry required fuel and water containers because this is a cupless race. A whistle and a cellphone are required to be carried and presented at check in. Support crews are allowed but only at aid stations; support outside those locations is not permitted. Registration and bib numbers are nontransferable. If the event is cancelled refunds less service fees or rollover registration will be offered.
