ECT 50 Ultra Marathon : Pouch Cove, NL, October 24, 2026
This event is a 50 km coastal trail race in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. The route is described as coastal and technically challenging. Proceeds from the race are donated to the East Coast Trail Association.
Race check in takes place in Quidi Vidi. Buses transport participants from check in to the starting line. Runners may hand in a drop bag at check in that will be available at the Middle Cove Beach aid station. A starting-line drop for items to be recovered at the finish is also provided.
There are three aid stations: Flatrock, Middle Cove Beach, and the Marine Lab. These stations provide water and electrolytes; additional food items may be supplied by volunteers. The race is cupless, so runners must carry water containers and needed fuel. Support crews are permitted but must meet runners at the designated aid stations; support outside those stations is not allowed.
A whistle and a cellphone are required to be carried and presented at check in. Bib numbers and registrations cannot be transferred. If the event is cancelled, refunds minus service fees or rollover registrations will be offered.
A trail trash collection initiative is in place; Third Place Cocktail Company offers a complimentary bottle of tonic at the finish to participants who contribute to trail trash pickup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
