About the race
The ECT 50% Half Marathon is a 21K trail race on October 10, 2026, taking place on the East Coast Trail near Flatrock, NL. The course follows established trail sections including Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path, and Cobbler's Path and runs from Flatrock toward the Red Cliff parking area. Race operations note that check in and bib pickup occur near Ann Waterman Family Park and that finish area parking is available near Red Cliff. Drop off or carpooling is encouraged to assist with limited parking. Basic race rules require all runners to carry a cell phone and a whistle.
Aid and assistance are limited to the aid station at Middle Cove Beach unless medical attention is required; aid stations will provide water and Gatorade and runners may arrange for their own crew to support them at those stations. The event is held rain or shine and participants are expected to manage their own kit, nutrition, and clothing for variable conditions. Runners who withdraw must notify the race director directly. The event is organized by the ECT Sampler Series with support from the East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters, and Train 4 Trails, and is insured by the Canadian Adventure Racing Association.
Registration is listed with an entry fee and registration policies state that bibs are not transferable between individuals though transfers to another ECT Sampler Series race are possible with advance notice.
