Echo Valley - Evergreen Trail Runs
Echo Valley is a two-day trail running event held in the Lake Chelan area at Echo Valley Ski Area, Chelan, WA. The event offers a 1-mile kids' race, 10K, Half-marathon, and 50K, each mapped as a single loop.
Trails are described as smooth and winding with gentle climbs and descents through ponderosa pine forest and fields of lupine and balsam root. Runners gain approximately 1200' on the 10K, 2000' on the half, and 3900' on the 50K. Course features include a long sustained climb from the base, rolling single track with valley views, and a final descent known as Waterbar Heaven followed by a short climb on a decommissioned forest road before the finish.
The event operates as a cupless race; all participants must carry a refillable container and are encouraged to carry at least 20 oz of water. Aid stations are located along each course; 50K runners may drop bags before the start for transport to the Yurt Aid Station. Trails remain open to other users during the event.
Camping is available at the race start/finish area through Echo Valley Ski Area with fees listed per night. RV parking is limited and size restrictions apply. Every finisher receives a handmade finisher item produced using solar power in Anacortes, Washington. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
