East End 1K
The seventh installment of the East End 1K takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, and begins and ends at Equal Parts Brewing in Houston. The event includes post race prizes and drawings and limits registration by capacity.
A portion of the proceeds will support Small Places, a nonprofit urban farm in Houston’s East End that grows fresh, healthy food and runs programs such as farm apprenticeships and neighborhood produce distribution.
Each registration includes a technical shirt, two free drink tickets, and a drawing ticket. Late registration is offered at a reduced price but does not include a shirt. Refunds and deferred registrations are not available. Online registration may already be closed.
The route is marked and the event will not be timed. There will not be water stations along the route; water will be available at the brewery and participants are asked to bring their own bottle to help cut down on waste. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash; attendees are advised to monitor pets in warm weather. Kids may attend the event and festivities, but race participants must be 21 or older.
The Start/Finish line is just across the street from the brewery and there is parking at the brewery. Crossing the street requires passing two lanes and the light rail so extra caution is advised. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
