E-Dragon Run Festival
The E-Dragon Run Festival takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at South Side Lions East Park, 4600 Pecan Valley Dr, San Antonio, TX 78223. The event is described as a low cost running festival celebrating 11 years of the organizer's events and is limited to the first 1000 participants.
Event distances offered:
- Golden Dragon Half-Marathon (two loops, each 6.55 miles)
- Silver Dragon 10k (turnaround adjusted for about 6.2 miles)
- Fire Dragon 5k (out-and-back with a designated turnaround)
- Lightning Dragon 1 Mile
Packet pickup is done on race day at the registration tent. Participants who pick up a number may choose a garment from past events, such as cotton shirts, dri-fit shirts, singlets, long sleeves, or hoodies; accepting a garment is optional.
Timing will use chips provided for participants who are present on race day. Water is provided via unmanned coolers with small bottled water placed about 1.2 to 1.7 miles apart; participants are asked not to litter and to use trash receptacles.
Courses follow the Salado Creek trail, largely asphalt, with out-and-back segments and a finish loop around South Side Lions East Lake. Overall male and female winners receive a gift bag. Other giveaways will be assigned by bib number and require presence to claim. Volunteers are requested to assist with event tasks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
