Event overview
The E-Dragon Run Festival is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, at South Side Lions East Park, 4600 Pecan Valley Dr, San Antonio, TX 78223. The event is limited to the first 1,000 participants and offers multiple distances under one festival format.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon - two loops of 6.55 miles each
- 10K - approximately 6.2 miles with a turnaround
- 5K - out-and-back with a designated turnaround on Salado Creek
- 1 Mile - short distance event
Course, logistics and awards
All courses use the Salado Creek path and finish with a loop around South Side Lions East Lake. The path is primarily asphalt and configured as out-and-back routes. Water stations will use coolers with small bottled water; stations are unmanned and spaced about 1.2 to 1.7 miles apart. Organizers ask participants to carry used bottles to a trash can.
Packet pickup takes place on race day at the registration tent at South Side Lions East Park. Participants who check in will be assigned a timing number at pickup and may choose a garment from a table of previously produced event apparel. Chip timing is provided for participants who receive a timing number; not all online sign-ups are preassigned bibs. Overall male and female winners will receive gift bags, and additional giveaways will be distributed randomly by bib number. Volunteers are requested to assist with event tasks.
