Dunleer AC 5K Road Race
Dunleer Athletic Club hosts an inaugural road race event during the June Bank Holiday weekend in County Louth. The event is centered at Deeside Agri Stores, conveniently located just off Junction 14 on the M1 motorway. Ample parking is provided for participants at the venue.
The event features a single distance:
- 5 km run or walk
The course follows a fast and scenic countryside route designed to assist participants in achieving personal best times. The route profile includes a downhill opening kilometer, a flat middle section, and a final downhill kilometer leading to the finish. The race is open to participants of all abilities, including both runners and walkers.
All participants who complete the course receive a finishers medal. Refreshments are provided following the conclusion of the event. Recognition is given to the top three male and female finishers, and team prizes are also awarded. The race is held under a permit pending approval.
