Event Information
The Dublin City Half Marathon is a 21.1 km running event taking place in Dublin. It starts on O'Connell Street in the city center and finishes in the city center after a route through northern parts of Dublin.
Route
The course starts on O'Connell Street. It goes through Ballybough, passes Croke Park, and continues to Whitehall. The route then passes through Raheny, returns past St. Anne’s Park, and goes through Clontarf and North Strand before finishing in Guild Street. Course markers show distances in kilometers.
Entry and Logistics
Entry is managed via a ballot system. The entry fee is €75, which covers a finisher's t-shirt, a medal, and postage of the race number. There is no qualification time required to run. Walkers are permitted but must start in allocated waves. The course is open for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
On-Site Features
The event provides pacers and tail walkers for participants. Hydration stations provide water and Lucozade Sport in cups to reduce plastic usage. Participants are permitted to wear hydration packs or vests. Prize money is available for the top three male and female finishers.
Additional Details
Participants are asked to write any important medical information and an emergency contact number on the back of their race bib. The event is organized by the Dublin Marathon Group in partnership with Dublin City Council. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
