Dublin City Half Marathon
The Dublin City Half Marathon is a 21.1 km race organised by Dublin Marathon Group and held on Sunday 3rd of May 2026. The course starts on O’Connell Street in the heart of Dublin, takes runners out of the north of the city and returns to finish in the city centre. The route will be published closer to race day.
Entry details for the 2026 event include an entry fee of €75 plus administration fees; this covers a finisher’s t-shirt, a medal and the postage of race numbers. Race numbers are posted to entrants. Prize money is offered for the top three male and female finishers. There is no qualifying time required to enter.
The event is open to walkers; walkers must start in allocated waves. Pacers will be present and identifiable by large balloons; pacers are allocated to waves and aim to run steady efforts. Tail walkers support participants aiming for the 3 hour 30 minute course opening time. The course is marked in kilometres. Hydration stations will provide cups as part of efforts to reduce plastic use, and wearing a hydration pack is permitted.
The organiser operates a transfer window in early April with a €10 administration charge. Refunds are not available; a pregnancy deferral may be possible with advance notification.
