Event Overview
The Dublin City Half Marathon is a road running event organized by Dublin Marathon Group. The 2026 edition will take place on Sunday, 3rd May.
Course Details
The 21.1 km (13.1-mile) course starts on O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre. It goes through the north of the city, passing Ballybough (home to Croke Park), Whitehall, Raheny, St. Anne's Park, Clontarf, and North Strand before finishing back in the city centre on Guild Street. The course is marked in kilometres.
Participant Information
There is no qualification time required to enter. The event is open to walkers, who must start in allocated waves. The course will be open for 3 hours and 30 minutes. Pacers with balloons and tail walkers will be present on the day.
Entry and Logistics
Entry is via a ballot system. The entry fee is €75 plus admin fees. This includes a finisher's t-shirt, a medal, and the postage of race numbers. There is no refund option, but a transfer window is available from 2nd to 8th April for a €10 fee. Prize money is available for the top three male and female finishers.
On the Day
Hydration stations will provide water and Lucozade Sport in cups to reduce plastic usage. Participants are permitted to wear hydration packs. Runners are asked to write any important medical information and an emergency contact number on the back of their race number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
