Drogheda Easter 5K
The Drogheda Easter 5K takes place on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026. This athletic event marks the first race to be held on the new Port Access Northern Cross Route (PANCR). The course is designated for a distance of 5 km and accommodates runners, joggers, and walkers of various abilities.
The event functions as a charity community initiative to raise funds for the development of the Moneymore Townland Community Hub, which is planned as the first community center in Drogheda. The proceeds support the creation of a secure space for local families and existing services, including the Connect Family Resource Centre, Cable Youth Diversion Project, and Moneymore Afterschool Project.
Participants can choose from two entry categories:
- 5 km (Adult Chipped Entry)
- 5 km (Kids Non-Chipped Entry)
Registration for the adult category includes a commemorative t-shirt for the first 350 participants who sign up. The children's entry does not include a t-shirt or time tracking. The community aims to collect match funding through this race to progress the construction of the Hub facility. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
