About the race
The SCOTT Drielandenpunt Trail is a two-day trail running event with start and finish in Vaals, at the highest point of the Netherlands. The next edition is scheduled for 30 and 31 January 2027. The event layout includes a Saturday run and walk program and a Sunday program with multiple run distances, and the 2026 edition recorded about 1,400 participants, a 9.2 review score and a 98% finish rate.
Sunday running distances and elevation gains:
- 10 km 310 m D+
- 23 km 760 m D+
- 32 km 1090 m D+
- 50 km 1630 m D+
Saturday offers an 18 km "soup edition" with 590 m D+; there are walking options on Saturday of 10 km and 18 km.
All listed routes cross three countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany). River crossings are reported as none. Aid station counts vary by distance and time limits apply on several routes. Mandatory and recommended equipment differ per distance and include items such as an identification card, charged phone, own cup and water and food reserves. GPX files and detailed course maps are provided for download five days before the event. The event is described as a combination of technical sections and well runnable sections.
