2nd Annual Dreamers of Achievement 5K Run/Walk
The South Fulton Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. hosts a 5K run/walk on June 20, 2026, at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park, 680 S. Central Ave., Hapeville, GA 30354. The event is a fundraiser to support scholarships, mentorships, and community engagement and highlights the chapter's focus on health and wellness.
The course is USATF certified (GA25018WC) and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Professional timing is provided by Elite Race Timing with gun and chip timing and RFID equipment; results are published live shortly after finishing. The event includes overall, district, masters, and age group awards, plus customized finisher medals. A T-shirt is included with registration but cannot be guaranteed for registrations after June 13, 2026.
Registration details: in-person 5K registration fee is $35.00 and the virtual 5K fee is $40.00. Registration opens February 15, 2026 and closes March 7, 2026. Registration is available via QR code at packet pickup and on race morning; payment by credit or debit card only. All registrations are final and non-transferable.
Packet pickup is scheduled for June 19, 2026 at the Hapeville Juneteenth Celebration at Jess Lucas Park, 680 S Central Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354. The time limit for the 5K is 1 hour 20 minutes; participants remaining on course after the limit will be asked to vacate the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
