The route follows the Wye Valley Trail from Chepstow Castle to Monmouth on the Welsh side and then returns along the Offas Dyke path on the English side. The route climbs up to The Kymen, continues through Redbrook, and includes the 1 km Tiddenham Tunnel before descending back into Chepstow.
