Downey Dance Team Turkey Trot 5K and Relay
The Downey Dance Team Turkey Trot takes place on 11/14/2026 at 10900 Brookshire Ave., Downey, California. The event offers both a solo race option and a relay format for teams.
Relay teams consist of three runners. Each team member runs four consecutive laps, with each lap described as one mile in the event details. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration opens on 2026-09-28 and closes on 2026-11-14. The listed fee for an individual solo entry is $30. A team registration fee of $80 is noted for three-person teams to receive a discounted rate.
There are two competitive categories: New-Runners (non-competitive) and Open (competitive). The categories use pace and completion time criteria to separate entries. Teams have separate awards by category, and team composition rules specify that co-ed teams must include at least two female runners to be scored as co-ed; otherwise the team competes in the men’s category.
Prizes are awarded to first-place finishers in multiple team categories and solo divisions. First-place awards are listed for Open Women’s Team, Open Men’s Team, Open Co-ed Team, New Runners Women’s Team, New Runners Men’s Team, New Runners Co-ed Team, and for first solo female and male.
