3.21 Down Syndrome Dash
Upside Downs organizes the fifth annual 3.21 Down Syndrome Dash on March 21, 2026, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The event program pairs a standard 5k run with a short fun dash so the combined distance equals 3.21 miles; this total represents the three copies of the 21st chromosome found in individuals with Down syndrome.
The day includes a post-race celebration with live music, food and beverage offerings, a jambalaya cook off, face painting and other family activities. The musical lineup is supported by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation Community Partnership Grant program. Children aged three and under are admitted free. All registration sales are final and non-refundable.
