Trail Running and Mountain Biking in Dibeng
DoringDraad is an annual multi-sport event returning for its eighth year to the town of Dibeng in the Northern Cape. Hosted at the Doringdraad Kontrei-Kuierplek, the event combines trail running and mountain biking on the local terrain. The venue is situated at 9 Voortrekker Street, and the event brings together the local community and visiting athletes for a day of outdoor activity.
Participants can choose from several distance options depending on their preferred discipline:
- 5 km Trail Run
- 10 km Trail Run
- 25 km MTB
- 50 km MTB
The event includes a prize giving ceremony held midday to recognize top finishers. Participants are required to complete their chosen distance without assistance to be eligible for medals or podium prizes.
The host venue, Doringdraad Restaurant, provides food and beverages for purchase, including traditional roosterkoeke. Registration services include online entries and late registration options. Participants can collect their race numbers and goodie bags at designated locations in either Kathu or Dibeng on the days leading up to or the morning of the event.
