Donovan Color 5K and Bobcat Dash Run/Walk
This community event takes place on May 8, 2026 in Donovan, Illinois, with activities centered near Donovan High School. The event is organized by local high school classes and includes both a family friendly fun run and a youth dash. Registration by May 1, 2026 is required to guarantee an official 2026 DHS color run shirt.
The event offers the following distances:
- Bobcat Dash - 400 meters; ages 10 and under; free with race bib
- Color 5K - 3.1 mile run/walk; open to all ages; includes a shirt and race bib, $20 general, $15 students 18 and under
The 5K course includes multiple color stations where sponsors apply non toxic color and a color blast at the finish. Participants may avoid a color station by moving to the side. The organizers advise caution because the event runs in the evening and visibility may be reduced; headlights or flashlights are suggested. The Foods class will run a bake sale and the Business Club will sell Donovan apparel. The organizers will not be responsible for supervision of children.
Parking is available across from the high school and attendees are asked to walk behind the school to reach the park. The 5K starts and finishes near Donovan High School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
