Domino's Run for Govs 5K and 1K Run Walk
The event is hosted by the Austin Peay State University National Alumni Association at Emerald Hill in Clarksville. Emerald Hill is a historic mansion listed in the National Register of Historic Sites and sits on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Red and Cumberland rivers. The Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill serves as the start and finish area.
There are in person and virtual participation options with two distances:
- 5K in person and virtual
- 1K run and walk in person and virtual
The course for the 5K follows a winding route up Emerald Hill, ascending toward the mansion and Alumni Center. The 1K is organized as a shorter run and walk option and is presented in connection with the main event.
Proceeds from the 5K may be directed to areas of Austin Peay chosen by participants through available fund of excellence designations. Proceeds from the 1K benefit a scholarship established in honor of a committee member; that scholarship supports student professional development and related opportunities. The event presents both on site and remote ways to participate and supports student funds at the university. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
