Doggy Dash 5K - Dexter
The Doggy Dash 5K in Dexter is a community running event held on September 26, 2026 at 8801 N Territorial Rd, Dexter, MI 48130. The event honors an individual who died in 2024 from glioblastoma and directs proceeds to sponsor a therapy dog at Michigan Medicine through the Paws4Patients program.
The course uses chipped timing. The event welcomes participants of all ages and paces, including walkers, joggers, and runners; strollers, children, and dogs are permitted. Race-day provisions on the course include water and bananas. After the event, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and dog treats will be available for purchase to support the fundraiser.
Apparel and merchandise details: the first 100 event t-shirts are donated by a local t-shirt company; thereafter half of t-shirt proceeds will continue to benefit Paws4Patients and an online store will remain open beyond the event day. Dog bandanas and dog toys (stuffies) are offered for purchase during registration and on race day.
